Cowboys from the Internet Movie Database
An aging Russian communications satellite is about to drop out of orbit, and the current crop of NASA Scientists and Astronauts don't know how to repair it. As a result, NASA contacts the designer of the guidance system (an American!), who also happens to be one of the people who was not selected for Astronaut duty way back when. They are given a second chance to enter the space program, even though they are well into their 70s. Clint, James Garner, Tommy Lee Jones, and Donald Sutherland all give fine performances in this Grumpy Old Men meet Armageddon tale. Very entertaining, and completely relistic, which is surprising, given the state of special effects movies today.
