This film is a documentary of the Techno/House/Rave music scene. There are dozens of interviews of many of the people who are and have been involved in it. Distinctions are made, differentiation is offered for all of the different forms of this musical style.
I chose to see this film because I like this type of music. There are so many variants and distinctions that the creators of this musical style would lead you to believe, but in fact, they aren't as distinct, to me, as these musicians would have you believe. There are the informative people, the brooding musicians, the "You just don't get it" types, the "Ours is so much better than theirs" DJs, and so on. Interesting to see them all, and there's a lot of music to hear, but the overall effect was not entirely satisfying. All of these people doing the same thing, but all of the trying to establish their own uniqueness. Maybe a longer piece would have helped to elaborate it further.
